Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, formulate therapy treatment plans, and implement rehabilitation services across in-patient, out-patient, and home settings. Direct support staff and students while supervising care plans to optimize patient outcomes. Collaborate with referring providers and interdisciplinary teams to review status, arrange medical equipment, and facilitate discharge planning. Document encounters, maintain clinical supplies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and SEARHC policies. Provide patient education, home exercise programs, and cross-cultural sensitivity in all interactions. Assist in administrative operations, committee duties, and staff education on therapeutic techniques. Participate in occasional multi-day travel to remote locations by boat or plane for assessments and therapy delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Entry level qualifying masters or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from a accredited program
- Graduate from an APTA approved program of Physical Therapy at the Baccalaureate level with 2 years proven work and Continuing Education experience that indicates applicant has mastered the knowledge base that would typically be taught in a masters program
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Valid Drivers license
