Job Summary
School-based Physical Therapist provides direct pediatric PT services to students across grades K-3 and 6-12, conducting assessments, developing/implementing individualized therapy plans, collaborating with teachers and staff, participating in IEP meetings, and documenting progress. The role emphasizes improving gross motor skills, mobility, strength, coordination, posture, and the use of assistive technology and accommodations to support students in school activities; requires master’s-level PT training, active licensure, AZ IVP Card, and strong teamwork and communication to support student-centered services in a school setting.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state Physical Therapy license in the state where services will be provided
- Must have AZ IVP Card
- Experience working with school-aged children or in an educational setting preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to adapt therapy interventions to meet the needs of students in a dynamic school environment
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dedicated to providing high-quality therapy support
