Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations, measuring strength, range of motion, and gait to establish measurable goals aligned with patient priorities. Develop and deliver individualized plans of care using therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and appropriate modalities while revising treatment as the patient's presentation evolves. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, activity modification, and safe device use to sustain adherence post-discharge. Complete evaluations, treatment notes, and discharge summaries accurately within required timeframes while coordinating with referring physicians and therapy disciplines. Manage daily caseloads and schedules, adapting to cancellations and urgent referrals, and contribute to department operations including equipment upkeep and supply awareness. This 90-day contract engagement in Baker City, Oregon, offers a community-focused practice with real breadth across orthopedic, neurological, and deconditioning cases.
Required Qualifications
- An active, unrestricted Physical Therapy license valid in the state of Oregon
- Doctor of Physical Therapy degree or equivalent qualifying degree from an accredited program
- Good standing with the state board
- Prior clinical experience
- At least one year of post-graduation practice
- Current BLS or CPR certification
- Independent clinical reasoning
- Efficient caseload management
- Reliable documentation practices
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Comfort working with electronic documentation systems
- Ability to work onsite for the duration of the assignment
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the engagement
Desired Qualifications
- One year of post-graduation practice
- Experience across outpatient, acute care, home health, or skilled nursing settings
- Comfort adapting across populations
- Board certification in a clinical specialty
- Advanced manual therapy training
- Dry needling certification where permitted
- Vestibular and balance rehabilitation training
- Prior contract or travel therapy experience
- Comfort working with a high degree of clinical autonomy
- Experience across the lifespan from pediatric through geriatric populations
- Willingness to treat in more than one setting within the organization
