Job Summary
Supports Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants in outpatient clinical settings by preparing treatment areas, equipment, and materials, assisting patients with exercises and transfers, educating patients on treatments and exercises, documenting patient responses, performing basic treatments (ice/heat), and handling administrative tasks such as scheduling and supplies. The role emphasizes patient preparation, observation, documentation, safety, and clinic maintenance under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs regularly
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Outpatient or previous healthcare setting experience is preferred
