Job Summary
Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and materials for patient care while welcoming and assisting patients into therapy apparel. Support therapists by helping with transfers, guiding exercises, and educating patients on proper equipment use. Observe patients performing prescribed activities, report concerns immediately, and document responses to treatment. Perform basic treatments like applying ice or heat pads, clean and sanitize equipment, and handle administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and scheduling appointments. Bilingual in Spanish required; CPR/BLS certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs regularly
- Knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Bilingual in Spanish
Desired Qualifications
- CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Outpatient or previous healthcare setting experience
