Job Summary
Conduct school-based physical therapy evaluations, interventions, and lead individual and small group sessions. Gather information by reviewing records and communicating with school teams, then administer assessments to determine appropriate needs. Interpret results to develop or modify intervention plans, while participating in IEP meetings and consensual decision-making with the school team. Provide accurate documentation, facilitate transitions between agencies, and communicate effectively with parents, administrators, and community members. May supervise field work students, newer PTs, and PTAs. Identify emergency situations to ensure child safety. Work in sync with the school calendar, with opportunities for ESY. Newly licensed PT grads encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- A graduate of an accredited college or university with a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Connecticut State Licensed Physical Therapist
Desired Qualifications
- Field work in pediatric setting preferred
