Job Summary
Provide medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, deconditioning, or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone diseases to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability. Evaluate participants through appropriate procedures, develop written treatment programs, and administer programs while communicating needs to staff. Maintain documentation, ensure adherence to accreditation and licensure standards, and serve on rehabilitation treatment teams. Communicate with physicians, families, and community resources; attend clinical and programmatic meetings. Plan staff in-service programs and participate in orientation programs. Write service summaries, maintain daily billing summaries, and turn them into appropriate staff. Travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- State licensure in physical therapy
- Travel as needed
- Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
