Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to restore mobility and reduce pain. Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities while monitoring progress to modify plans as needed. Educate patients and families on injury prevention and lifestyle modifications, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Supervise physical therapy assistants or students where applicable. Work across hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, or home health settings. Requires a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, active Washington State license, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Active Washington State Physical Therapist license
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and therapeutic techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
Desired Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of clinical experience (varies by employer)
- Specialty certifications (e.g., Orthopedics, Sports, Neurology)
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
