Job Summary
Screen and evaluate residents to develop initial and ongoing treatment plans, then direct and supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Techs during group and individual sessions. Manage case management responsibilities, including discharge planning, utilization review, and family conference communications, while ensuring accurate billing and documentation compliance. Integrate physical therapy into the interdisciplinary team by making appropriate referrals, contributing to community patient care activities, and developing new rehabilitation programs. Maintain professional conduct, adhere to state and federal regulations, and perform patient lifting using appropriate biomechanical techniques. This PRN role requires travel between communities and varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Valid physical therapist state license (where applicable)
- Graduate of an APTA accredited school of physical therapy
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Basic Internet navigation skills
- Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds of dead weight alone
- Must be able to travel between communities during scheduled hours
- Must be able to work varying hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Attends all mandatory meetings, trainings, and assignments as delegated
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend in English: instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, productive work environment
- Must conduct self in an ethical, legal, and responsible manner at all times
- Must adhere to the policies, principles, and guidance within the Team Member Handbook and Code of Business Conduct
