Job Summary
Provide school-based physical therapy services to students, including conducting evaluations to determine motor function and therapy needs, developing and implementing IEPs and therapy plans, delivering direct PT services to improve gross motor skills, coordinating with teachers and families to integrate therapy strategies in the school setting, recommending adaptive equipment and classroom modifications, maintaining compliant records per ODEW/IDEA, participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions, and training staff on movement strategies, mobility support, and accessibility accommodations.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate (DPT) or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Ohio Physical Therapy Licensure (issued by the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board)
- Ohio Department of Education & Workforce (ODEW) Approval as a Related Service Provider (or ability to obtain)
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
