Job Summary
Provide school-based physical therapy services to students (ages 3–21) with caseload around 28; conduct evaluations/assessments to determine motor function and PT needs; develop and implement IEPs and therapy plans; improve gross motor skills, posture, balance, coordination, and mobility; collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to integrate therapy strategies; recommend adaptive equipment, positioning strategies, and classroom modifications; maintain OSPI/IDEA-compliant documentation; participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions; train teachers and staff on movement strategies, mobility support, and accessibility accommodations. In-person, full-time role with district-wide itinerant coverage; Renton, WA.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate (DPT) or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Washington State Physical Therapy License (issued by the Washington State Department of Health)
- OSPI approval or eligibility as a school-based Related Service Provider (may include ESA certification if required by the district)
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
