Physical Therapist (School)

Conduct diagnostic assessments of need for physical therapy services and develop treatment plans for individual students, including reviewing records, administering standardized testing, and performing classroom observations. Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to students, family members, residential direct care givers, education faculty, and staff within the educational environment. Assist faculty in designing classroom strategies that enhance learning and create environments best suited for individual student profiles. Plan and schedule session frequency and duration in accordance with individual needs and School District mandates. Recommend adaptive equipment, classroom positioning, and environmental accommodations to facilitate optimal functioning and carryover of therapeutic goals.
