Job Summary
Physical Therapist Resident in outpatient rehabilitation participating in the UNM Orthopaedic PT Residency Program, mentored by residency faculty to enhance competency in evidence-based practice, differential diagnosis, and advanced manual therapy; will evaluate and treat patients, coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, participate in didactic lectures, psychomotor labs, independent study, and research, and assist in teaching PT students as part of the residency, with professional development opportunities including tuition/certification reimbursement and loan forgiveness; part-time, Monday–Friday schedule under UNM residency framework, with a focus on developing independence and clinical expertise in outpatient orthopaedic physical therapy.
Required Qualifications
- New Mexico Physical Therapist license required
- Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy
- Doctorate of Physical Therapy preferred
- Must be enrolled in the UNM Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Program
- BLS required
- Less than one year of experience in physical therapy
