Physical Therapist Resident in outpatient rehabilitation joining Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM. Ideal for new graduates or early-career clinicians seeking structured mentorship to advance in evidence-based practice, differential diagnosis, and advanced manual therapy. The resident will participate in a comprehensive clinical education program, treat patients under residency faculty guidance, and develop independence as an outpatient clinician. Activities include didactic lectures, independent study, psychomotor labs, research, teaching PT students, and planned mentorship (4 hours/week) within the UNM Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Program. Responsibilities span evaluating and treating patients with a wide range of therapeutic interventions, coordinating with multiple disciplines, discharge planning, and promoting patient/caregiver self-determination. Basic computer skills and patient advocacy are required. Required Qualifications
- New Mexico Physical Therapist license required
- Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy
- Doctorate of Physical Therapy preferred
- Must be enrolled in the UNM Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Program
- BLS required
- Less than one year of experience in physical therapy
