Job Summary
Physical Therapist position at Cleveland Clinic Health System in Elyria (Elyria Family Health and Surgery Center) focused on evaluating and treating patients to improve strength, mobility, flexibility, endurance, and overall function. Responsibilities include assessing muscle strength and joint mobility, developing and adjusting care plans, conducting PT interventions (therapeutic exercises, pain management techniques such as heat, cold, electrical stimulation, or aquatic therapy), and educating patients on body mechanics. Role involves direct patient interaction, requires collaboration with care teams, and supervision of PT assistants, students, and support staff. Mon-Fri, 7:00am–7:00pm; no weekends or holidays. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree or PT program completion, active PT licensure, and BLS certification; preferred qualifications include clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or certificate
- Graduate of a Physical Therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
