Job Summary
Assess, plan, treat, evaluate, and implement a plan of care for pediatric to geriatric patients. Provide age-appropriate care while overseeing PTA's and PT/PTA students as requested. Demonstrate understanding of admission processes, treatment costs, coding, and financial support. Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and staff; maintain a clean, safe environment using error prevention habits. Complete documentation of all patient care activities in the electronic medical record. Participate in continuing education and development plans to advance professional skills. Transfer and position patients as applicable. Schedule includes Saturday and Sunday rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Master's or Doctorate degree program from an accredited college or university
- Work requires the level of knowledge acquired by completing a Master's program in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university
- Current CPR certification
- Current license as a Physical Therapist from the State of Illinois
- Ability to transfer and position patients
- Saturday and Sunday rotation work
- Requirements to work 2 weekend shifts/ month
- 1 holiday/ year
- 2 holiday weekend shifts/ year
