Job Summary
Conduct individualized physical therapy programs including assessment, treatment planning, implementation, and patient education to maximize functional goals. Evaluate patient outcomes, adjust care plans, and direct support staff to achieve residents' functional targets. Maintain positive relationships with specialists and ancillary staff while ensuring compliance with safety, infection control, and quality improvement standards. Document evaluations, treatment goals, and prescriptions accurately. Requires current APTA license, one year of aide experience, and ability to remain calm in crisis situations. Full, part-time, and PRN roles available at $45–$65/hr DOE.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge and skills to care for the physical and developmental needs of the population age groups that will be receiving services
- Ability to remain calm in emergency or crisis situations
- Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved physical therapy program
- At least one year of experience as a physical therapy aide
- Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
- Demonstrates the ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements
- Demonstrates the ability to make independent decisions, solve practical problems that may or may not include a variety of concrete variables
- Demonstrates the ability to listen actively and evaluate social situations in an objective, consistent and fair manner
- Demonstrates knowledge of Employee Handbook
