Job Summary
Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans aligned with patient and family goals. Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to treat medically complex patients with stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other acquired neurological diagnoses. Participate in discharge planning, including patient and family education and recommendations for durable medical equipment and community mobility. Provide education to patients, families, students, and co-workers while ensuring functional, patient-centered programs support an effective return to community or academic activities. This PRN position at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Lakeway requires Monday through Friday availability, including two weekend day shifts monthly and a minimum of 24 shifts per year. The role offers a rate of $60/hour and is open to candidates with acute or IPR experience, though recent graduates are not accepted.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment
- Must be available for two weekend day shifts a month
- Minimum of two days per month on high need days
- 24 shifts per year minimum
- Previous Rehab or Acute hospital experience with cognitive rehab, brain injury and stroke
- Strong neurological rehab skills
- Works well in a team setting

- Previous experience with the adult Neuro population
