Job Summary
Conduct outpatient physical therapy services in patients' private residences or independent living facilities, delivering individualized programs to restore function and promote independence. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel while screening, examining, and evaluating patients through history, systems review, and appropriate tests. Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to address impairments, adapting plans of care based on patient progress and individual needs. Maintain adherence to treatment schedules, clinical documentation, and billing requirements while making referrals to other disciplines for comprehensive care. Schedule includes guaranteed 35 hours per week, five days a week with no weekend rotation. Salary ranges from $38 to $44 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice or proof of eligibility
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Master's degree in a Physical Therapy-related field plus a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with five (5) years of progressively responsible experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to patient residences
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Regular reaching, handling, fingering, fine manipulation, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, balancing, and stair climbing
- Frequent standing and walking; occasional sitting
