Job Summary
Evaluate, plan, implement, and document physical therapy treatment for patients in outpatient, inpatient, and pediatric settings. Develop individualized treatment plans with functional goals, instruct Physical Therapist Assistants on procedures, and educate patients and families on therapeutic home programs. Provide appropriate supervision for patients treated by assistants and complete necessary documentation and billing. Maintain licensure in the state of service and adhere to hospital, state practice act, and Joint Commission standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy
- Physical therapy degree
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (if graduated prior 1/1/2016)
- Doctorate of Physical Therapy (if graduated after 1/1/2016)
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (International Candidates)
- Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree preferred
- Physical Therapist license in the State where services will be provided
- Eligibility to receive a Physical Therapist license
- CPR certification (current or obtainable within 90 days)
- Valid driver's license (if assigned to drive a company vehicle)
- Proof of insurance and valid driver's license (if assigned to drive a personal vehicle)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to combine lift 100 pounds
- Ability to push 300 pounds
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to work at other locations as assigned
