Job Summary
Physical Therapist needed for Outpatient Sports at MedStar Health in Upper Marlboro, MD. Provides evaluation services including reviews of historical information, assessments, and recommendations; implements and monitors treatment plans, conducts re-evaluation and discharge planning; and documents care with timely charting. The role includes collaboration with other health professionals, patient and family involvement in goal setting, ongoing clinical instruction and mentoring of students, and advancing professional growth. Requires Doctoral-level physical therapy education (DPT or equivalent) and licensure in MD, DC, or VA, as well as BLS/CPR certification. Demonstrates proficiency in evidence-based treatment protocols, effective communication, and a patient-centered approach to care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required
- American Heart Association’s BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification
