Job Summary
Conduct screening, evaluation, and treatment planning for outpatient orthopedic and sports patients. Implement treatment protocols based on assessment findings and document daily progress, interim summaries, and discharge evaluations. Manage patient schedules, coordinate with healthcare professionals, and pursue continuing education while mentoring students and staff.
Required Qualifications
- licensed physical therapist
- professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy
- demonstrated use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches
- customer service skills for interacting with patients, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds
- effective communication
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification
