Job Summary
Conduct physical therapy services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, and discharge planning for patients in outpatient ortho and sports settings. Explain evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and families, incorporating them into goal setting while documenting results, progress notes, and charges accurately. Manage schedules, meet productivity expectations, and consult with healthcare professionals to modify care plans as conditions change. Provide clinical instruction to students and mentor inexperienced staff, volunteers, and technicians. Maintain professional competency through continuing education and demonstrate empathy in a patient-driven environment. Required Qualifications
- licensed physical therapist
- professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy
- demonstrated use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches
- customer service skills for interacting with patients, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds
- effective communication
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification
