Job Summary
Conduct patient screenings, evaluations, and treatment planning for orthopedic and sports injuries, incorporating family input into goal setting. Implement treatment protocols based on evolving patient conditions, document daily progress, and manage discharge planning with accurate billing. Consult with healthcare professionals to modify care plans as needed while maintaining productivity expectations and managing an accurate schedule. This role supports program planning and protocol development within one of the largest healthcare systems in the Baltimore-Washington metro region, also recognized as a 'Healthiest Maryland Business.'
Required Qualifications
- licensed physical therapist
- professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy
- demonstrated use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches
- customer service skills for interacting with patients, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds
- effective communication
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification
