Job Summary
Conduct physical therapy services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation. Explain findings and treatment plans to patients and families while incorporating them into goal setting. Demonstrate proficiency in treatment protocols and consult with healthcare professionals regarding condition changes. Manage accurate schedules, meet productivity expectations, and provide frictionless patient access through flexibility and empathy. Take initiative in continuing education and serve as a clinical instructor for students. Assist with orientation and mentoring of inexperienced staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.
Required Qualifications
- licensed physical therapist
- professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy
- use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches
- customer service skills for interacting with patients, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds
- effective communication
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers
- CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification
