Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, and discharge planning. Document patient care activities accurately, from initial evaluations and daily progress notes to interim summaries and final discharge evaluations. Manage an accurate schedule while meeting productivity expectations and consulting with healthcare professionals to modify plans of care as needed. Provide patient and family education on evaluation findings and goals, and serve as a clinical instructor for students and a mentor for new staff.
Required Qualifications
- licensed physical therapist
- professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy
- demonstrated use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches
- customer service skills for interacting with patients
- communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds
- effective communication
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification
