Job Summary
Conduct screening, evaluation, and treatment planning for patients, incorporating family members into goal setting. Implement treatment protocols based on evolving health conditions, consult with healthcare professionals, and document changes requiring care modifications. Manage discharge planning, follow-up care, and accurate documentation of patient care activities including daily notes and progress summaries. Maintain an accurate schedule while meeting productivity expectations and demonstrating flexibility for patient access. Pursue continuing education and serve as a clinical instructor for students and new staff. Required Qualifications
- licensed physical therapist
- professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy
- demonstrated use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches
- customer service skills for interacting with patients
- communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds
- effective communication
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification
