Job Summary
Conduct physical therapy services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, and discharge planning for patients across diverse settings. Perform specific assessments, document results, and explain findings to patients and families while incorporating them into goal setting. Manage accurate schedules, meet productivity expectations, and provide timely documentation of patient care activities. Consult with healthcare professionals, modify plans of care as conditions change, and take initiative in pursuing continuing education and mentoring staff.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed physical therapist
- Professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy
- Demonstrated use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches
- Customer service skills for interacting with patients, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds
- Effective communication
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification
- Demonstrates effective time management
- Demonstrates a professional commitment to provide frictionless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and actions/behaviors that display empathy
