Job Summary
Conduct screening, evaluation, and treatment planning for patients, including implementation of protocols, re-assessment, and discharge planning. Document all patient care activities, progress summaries, and charges accurately while managing schedules to ensure frictionless access. Consult with healthcare professionals to modify plans of care as needed and demonstrate proficiency in varied evaluation and treatment approaches. Provide customer service by communicating findings to patients and families of diverse backgrounds. Participate in program planning, mentor staff and students, and pursue continuing education for professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- licensed physical therapist
- professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy
- demonstrated use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches
- customer service skills for interacting with patients, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds
- effective communication
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification
