Job Summary
Conduct screening, evaluation, and treatment planning for patients, including implementation of protocols, re-assessment, and discharge planning. Document all care activities accurately, from initial evaluations to daily progress notes and discharge summaries. Manage patient schedules while providing frictionless access to care through adaptability and empathy. Consult with healthcare professionals as needed and modify plans based on evolving patient conditions. Participate in program planning, protocol development, and assist in mentoring students and inexperienced staff. Maintain professional competency through self-directed continuing education and serve as a clinical instructor.
Required Qualifications
- licensed physical therapist
- professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy
- demonstrated use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches
- customer service skills for interacting with patients, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds
- effective communication
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification
