Job Summary
Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments, interpret diagnostic data from medical notes and surgery reports, and ensure accurate transcription of medical orders. Provide timely documentation and instruct or counsel patients and families as needed while promoting continuous quality improvement. Maintain availability for weekend shifts and holiday periods as per PRN requirements. Current state licensure and BLS certification are required. This role supports the Institute for Rehabilitation's acute care team in Plano, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment
- Candidate must be willing to work Friday - Monday
- Minimum PRN requirements: 2 weekend shifts of availability per month
- Availability on/around 1 winter and 1 summer holiday
