Job Summary
Evaluate and treat older adults in their private residences or independent living facilities by screening, examining, and developing individualized physical therapy programs. Implement therapeutic techniques including aerobic conditioning, gait training, manual therapy, and adaptive device fabrication while instructing patients and caregivers to promote independence. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and students, collaborate with rehabilitation teams to address comprehensive patient needs, and ensure timely clinical documentation and safety compliance. Maintain equipment, order supplies, and conduct mobility assessments to reduce fall risk. This role offers a flexible schedule and work environment across various settings.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license eligibility
- Must have a Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Must have a Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
- The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy
- Must have a valid driver's license or reliable, independent transportation to and from the patients' residence
