Job Summary
Evaluate patients and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs, including initial and ongoing assessments to establish appropriate plans of care. Design and carry out individually designed programs to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning while administering treatment with physical agents and ultrasound machines. Supervise physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel by assessing competence, delegating tasks, and establishing communication channels. Provide educational information on injury prevention, ergonomics, and rehabilitation therapy, while evaluating, fitting, and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Physical Therapist License in State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 30 days of hire
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a stressful environment
