Job Summary
Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable, and functional goals for patients upon physician referral. Follow physical therapy treatment plans and chart appropriately while utilizing therapy software accurately. Oversee and evaluate care provided by PTAs, Rehab Aides, and PT and PTA students. Liaise with patients, families, and support departments to plan for patient needs, and assist in patient evacuation. Communicate productively on an interdisciplinary team and demonstrate good judgment when making independent decisions. Maintain active licensure and CPR certification, adhering to Life Care standards and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy, BSPT, MSPT, or DPT (2003 or later must have MSPT or DPT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
- Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
- CPR certification must remain current during employment
- Must demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
