Job Summary
Conduct direct rehab care for patients upon physician referral, establishing and modifying realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals. Oversee and evaluate care provided by PTAs, Rehab Aides, and PT and PTA students while charting appropriately and utilizing therapy software accurately. Liaise with patients, families, and support departments to plan for patient needs, and participate in community health projects as appropriate. Demonstrate good body mechanics, maintain confidentiality, and function productively on an interdisciplinary team while adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and all applicable laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy, BSPT, MSPT, or DPT (2003 or later must have MSPT or DPT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
- Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
- CPR certification must remain current during employment
- Must demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
- Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
