Job Summary
Physical Therapist provides direct rehab care to patients under physician referral, following approved treatment plans and Life Care standards. Responsibilities include establishing and modifying goals, supervising PTAs and rehab staff, charting and using therapy software, communicating with an interdisciplinary team, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality, and participating in community health initiatives. Requires an accredited physical therapy degree (BSPT/MSPT/DPT) and active state license, CPR certification, and strong computer and interpersonal skills. New grads are welcome; 1 year of experience preferred. Location: Punta Gorda, FL. Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy, BSPT, MSPT, or DPT
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State; active license in good standing
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation (must remain current)
- One (1) year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Demonstrated knowledge of PT practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities
- Ability to establish and modify treatment goals; follow therapy treatment plans
- Ability to supervise PTAs, Rehab Aides, and PT/PTA students
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies and Code of Conduct
- Desire to participate in community health matters/projects
- Commitment to professional integrity and teamwork
- Ability to perform physical requirements (sit, stand, walk, lift, etc.)
- Fluency in English
