Job Summary
Physical Therapist (PT) provides direct rehab care in physical therapy to patients upon physician referral, following Life Care standards and applicable laws. Responsibilities include following PT treatment plans, establishing and modifying measurable goals, supervising PTAs and rehab staff, accurate charting, using therapy software, delivering excellent patient service, assisting in patient evacuation, maintaining regular attendance, working within an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring patient rights, safety, and confidentiality. Requires graduate from an accredited PT program (BSPT/MSPT/DPT) with active licensure, CPR certification, and strong proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel. New grads welcome; 1 year experience preferred. Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (BSPT, MSPT, or DPT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State; active license in good standing
- CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; CPR must remain current
- 1 year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Ability to establish, assess, and modify goals; communicate effectively with patients and interdisciplinary team
- Knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities
- Ability to chart accurately; use therapy software; maintain confidentiality and professional conduct
- Demonstrates integrity and professionalism; adheres to company policies and code of conduct
- Ability to follow treatment plans and participate in program implementation and compliance procedures
