Job Summary
Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable, and functional goals for patients based on physician referrals. Follow physical therapy treatment plans and chart appropriately while utilizing therapy software accurately. Oversee care provided by PTAs, Rehab Aides, and students, and liaise with families and support departments to plan patient needs. Communicate productively on an interdisciplinary team and assist in patient evacuation when required. Demonstrate good body mechanics, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to Life Care's Code of Conduct and all applicable laws and regulations. Full-time or PRN roles with flexible scheduling; new grads welcome.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy, BSPT, MSPT, or DPT (2003 or later must have MSPT or DPT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
- Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
- CPR certification must remain current during employment
- Must demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
- Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e mail
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
