Job Summary
Establish, assess, and modify realistic treatment goals for patients upon physician referral. Follow physical therapy plans, chart appropriately, and utilize therapy software accurately. Oversee and evaluate care provided by PTAs, rehab aides, and students. Liaise with patients, families, and support departments to plan needs, while communicating productively on an interdisciplinary team. Demonstrate good body mechanics, assist in patient evacuation, and maintain confidentiality. Participate in community health projects as appropriate. Life Care Centers of America operates Skilled Nursing Facilities providing long-term and sub-acute rehab care. New graduates are welcome to apply with a preference for one year of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy, BSPT, MSPT, or DPT (2003 or later must have MSPT or DPT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
- Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
- CPR certification must remain current during employment
- Must demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
