Job Summary
Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable, and functional goals for patients upon physician referral in accordance with Life Care standards. Follow physical therapy treatment plans, chart appropriately, and utilize therapy software accurately. Oversee and evaluate care provided by PTAs, rehab aides, and students. Liaise with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan care for diverse populations requiring long-term or sub-acute rehabilitation. Demonstrate good body mechanics, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to all compliance procedures and the Code of Conduct.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy, BSPT, MSPT, or DPT (2003 or later must have MSPT or DPT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
- Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
- CPR certification must remain current during employment
- Must demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
