Job Summary
Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable, and functional goals for patients while following physical therapy treatment plans. Oversee and evaluate care provided by PTAs, Rehab Aides, and PT and PTA students. Chart appropriately and utilize therapy software accurately to maintain comprehensive records. Liaise with patients, families, and support departments to plan for patient needs, while demonstrating good body mechanics and independent decision-making when circumstances warrant. Participate in community health projects and communicate productively on an interdisciplinary team. Maintain confidentiality, adhere to Life Care standards, and complete mandatory compliance training. Full-time or prn positions available with flexible schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy, BSPT, MSPT, or DPT (2003 or later must have MSPT or DPT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
- Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
- CPR certification must remain current during employment
- Must demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
- Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e mail
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year experience in post acute care or related setting preferred
