Job Summary
Evaluate assigned patients by gathering data from records, interviews, and observations. Develop and implement individualized treatment programs, instructing patients and caregivers on home exercises. Provide direct therapy services across various functional settings while coordinating with rehabilitation, medical, and nursing care plans. Prepare documentation including evaluation results, treatment plans, and progress notes. Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members regarding status and needs. Oversee physical therapy assistants, techs, and students to ensure safe patient care and smooth departmental operations.
Required Qualifications
- Active license in the state of practice upon hire
- Physical Therapist - Licensing Board
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
- Ability to work the hours specified
