Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments evaluating mobility, strength, and flexibility, then provide therapeutic exercises and manual therapy to enhance functionality and alleviate pain. Educate patients and families on exercises, posture, and body mechanics to aid recovery, prevent injuries, and guide home routines. Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans while collaborating with healthcare providers and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings. This PRN role offers M-F coverage with no evenings or weekends at our assisted living community in Tappan, NY, with rates between $58 and $60 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist, or license eligible
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to perform physical tasks related to therapy
