Job Summary
Manage and supervise clinical therapy staff, including hiring, performance appraisals, and fostering a positive team atmosphere while monitoring personnel compliance and credentials. Maintain a clinical caseload and ensure high-quality therapy services meet regulatory standards like CARF and JCAHO by conducting program reviews and tracking assessment data. Develop strategies to expand therapy programs through special initiatives and lead marketing efforts with local hospitals and physicians. Oversee patient and therapist scheduling, investigate service-related issues, and provide ongoing education to staff. Ensure compliance with infection control, OSHA standards, and laws governing rehabilitation services. This full-time role offers a $45-50 hourly rate with a $1500 sign-on bonus and includes competitive benefits starting month one.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in required discipline (Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapy and/or Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy Assisting)
- Valid state licensure as a PT/OT/SLP and/or PTA/COTA, or license eligible
- At least 3–5 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation or a related healthcare field
- Supervisory or management experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage a multidisciplinary team of therapists and support staff
- Deep understanding of rehabilitation principles, practices, and patient care protocols
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with staff, patients, families, and stakeholders
- Effective decision-making and critical thinking skills to address challenges and improve operations
- Strong ability to manage schedules, resources, and budgets efficiently
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and other applicable laws
Desired Qualifications
- Supervisory or management experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in rehab therapy
