Job Summary
The Physical Therapist coordinates and supervises physical therapy services, providing treatments as ordered by the referring physician and delegating appropriate portions to assistants. Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, and supervising treatment programs, maintaining patient care records to meet reimbursement qualifications, and instructing staff in their delegated functions. A graduate of an accredited BS or MS level course in physical therapy and state licensure is required, along with a preference for supervisory experience and membership in the Physical Therapy Association.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of a BS or MS level course in physical therapy as accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
- Must be licensed or registered under the statutes of the state in which the physical therapist will be practicing
Desired Qualifications
- One year’s experience in a supervisory role preferred
- Active member of the state and national Physical Therapy Association preferred
