Job Summary
Physical Therapist position evaluating and treating patients of all ages, developing treatment plans with involvement of family/support systems, and supervising support personnel related to patient care. Responsibilities include evaluating plans and directing habilitative and rehabilitative programs, communicating with patients and a multidisciplinary team, documenting patient progress in the medical record, instructing patients in exercises and safe body mechanics, delegating supervision of PT assistants/technicians, and ensuring age-appropriate care with attention to documentation, evidence-based practice, and licensed professional standards. Emphasis on delivering direct patient care, coordinating care with families and team members, and maintaining required certifications (BLS) and reporting training.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Physical Therapy Program
- Must possess/maintain license in the State of Iowa
- Ability to have good relationships with people while dealing with a variety of physical disabilities
- Must be able to read, write and/or speak English
- Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider-American Heart Association or Professional Rescuer-American Red Cross
- Must provide proof of Mandatory Reporting for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse training
