Job Summary
Assess patient conditions, establish treatment goals, and develop care plans in conjunction with physicians and patients. Perform interdisciplinary treatments while documenting findings for medical records and educating patients and families on appropriate therapies. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Technicians, provide ongoing staff education, and serve as a resource for clinical issues. Maintain patient confidentiality and recognize fall risks. Requires a valid state license and two years of outpatient experience; some travel within the community is required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and active State Licensure
- Current state license
- Two years of experience in an out-patient physical therapy clinic
- Knowledge of physical therapy principles, standards, and applications
- Knowledge of clinic policies, procedures, regulations, safety/infection control, quality control
- Knowledge of how to use physical therapy equipment
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Skill in appropriate evaluation and treatment of patients
- Skill in effectively communicating with in-house as well as external physicians and referral sources
- Skill in using a computer system/EMR to accurately reproduce all appropriate documentation
- Skill in accurate recognition of patient/clinic danger and appropriate fall risk patients
- Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, and staff
- Ability to supervise and mentor physical therapy staff
- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
- Ability to be a resource to patients and staff
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Demands of kneeling, squatting, overhead lifting

Desired Qualifications
- Clinical Doctorate (DPT) preferred
- Experience with orthopedics is preferred
