Job Summary
Assess patient conditions, establish goals and care plans with physicians, and document findings for medical records. Educate patients and families on therapies and exercises while serving as a resource for staff. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Technicians, providing ongoing education and assisting the director with patient care issues. Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure appropriate interdisciplinary treatment. Requires a valid state license, two years of outpatient experience, and orthopedics preference. Full-time or PRN status available.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and active State Licensure
- Current state license
- Two years of experience in an out-patient physical therapy clinic
- Knowledge of physical therapy principles, standards, and applications
- Knowledge of clinic policies, procedures, regulations, safety/infection control, quality control
- Knowledge of how to use physical therapy equipment
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Skill in appropriate evaluation and treatment of patients
- Skill in effectively communicating with in-house as well as external physicians and referral sources
- Skill in using a computer system/EMR to accurately reproduce all appropriate documentation
- Skill in accurate recognition of patient/clinic danger and appropriate fall risk patients
- Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, and staff
- Ability to supervise and mentor physical therapy staff
- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
- Ability to be a resource to patients and staff
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Demands of kneeling, squatting, overhead lifting

Desired Qualifications
- Clinical Doctorate (DPT) preferred
- Experience with orthopedics is preferred
