Job Summary
Conduct pre-surgical education, early post mobility training, and individualized rehabilitation for patients within a fast-paced surgical center. Deliver safe and effective postoperative care including vital sign monitoring, complication recognition, and syncope prevention. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with surgical protocols, clinical guidelines, and patient goals. Monitor patient response to treatment, adjust interventions accordingly, and educate patients and caregivers on precautions, mobility techniques, and home exercise programs. Maintain thorough, timely, and compliant documentation while completing equipment billing accurately. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing teams to support smooth transitions across the continuum of care.
Required Qualifications
- Current UT Physical Therapist license in good standing
- CPR certification

- Experience in orthopedic and acute rehabilitation
- Familiarity with joint replacement and sports medicine protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment
- Strong clinical decision-making and orthopedic assessment skills
