Physical Therapist (PRN)

Job Summary
Evaluate patients, diagnose movement dysfunction, and develop individualized, evidence-based physical therapy treatment plans that include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the use of specialized equipment to reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Administer and supervise treatments (manual exercises, massage, electrical stimulation, ultrasound), educate patients and families on at-home care, assist with device use, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with physicians and therapists while supervising PT Assistants and students. Stay current with PT techniques through continuing education and provide patient-centered, measurable care in an indoor clinical setting with occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- BS or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from a PT program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association
- Current Physical Therapy license for state of operation
- Assist and direct treatments given by Physical Therapist Assistants
- Knowledge of responsible use of facility equipment and preventative maintenance procedures
- Experience with recommending assistive equipment to patients and outpatient or home health follow-up programs
- Strong empathy and compassionate outlook for PT
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and able to work in fast-paced environment
- Teamwork and collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to interact with patients, families, and staff
